Indore is known for its cosmopolitan flavor, spectacular historic palaces, and status as the cleanest city in India. More importantly, it’s the hometown of Ayushi Mundra. Ayushi came to the US for her master’s degree and landed at Equity Methods, where today she focuses on stock-based compensation reporting.
What languages do you speak?
English and Hindi.
If someone visited your hometown, where would you take them?
My hometown is famous for street food. Being a foodie myself, the first thing I’d want someone to do is try all the delicious street food the place offers.
What do you think is unique about Equity Methods?
The work culture. We have people from different cultures and backgrounds, and none of them micromanage. There’s a lot of room for innovation and growth.
How would you describe Equity Methods to someone who doesn’t know us?
Fun! It’s a roller coaster ride with challenges and plenty of excitement every day.
How would you describe your Equity Methods colleagues?
Extremely smart and knowledgeable. Each person brings a new perspective to the table.
If you had a special guest, what meal would you prepare for them?
Paneer curry. It’s the first dish my mum taught me how to make, and everyone in my family loves it. Personally, I think there’s nothing better.
What did you do during your last vacation?
My last vacation was back home, where I attended my brother’s wedding. In India, weddings are an extravaganza. They’re basically five-day festivals where you meet hundreds of people, dance, and celebrate.
What do you like to do when away from work?
I love travel and adventure. So when I’m away from work, you’ll probably find me someplace off the beaten path. But if you catch me closer to home, I’m likely indulging my new passion for painting.
What is the character trait you admire most in people?
Loyalty is one. Kindness is another.
What’s your greatest extravagance?
Kitchen gadgets! Love them.
What’s your idea of perfect happiness?
Relaxing on a beach on a sunny day, reading a good book.
What's your motto?
Life’s too short to be boring.
