Akshay Arora is a Manager with the Valuation and HR Advisory Services groups at Equity Methods. As part of the Valuation practice, he engages in valuation of equity compensation instruments using Monte Carlo simulations as well as Lattice and Black-Scholes models. Akshay uses SAS and Advance Excel in his day-to-day contributing in building and optimizing complex models.

Prior to joining Equity Methods, Akshay worked with Ernst &Young, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, Sagard Holding and Valuation Research Corporation along with a short stint at an AI-based startup where Akshay was one of the founding members. In these roles, Akshay managed & led valuation engagements, assisting various stakeholders for financial & tax reporting, specializing in stock-based compensation valuation for some of the leading private and public companies along with complex transactions (such as securitization and P.E. secondaries to name a few)&Financial Instrument valuations.

When he’s not working with clients, Akshay loves hiking and camping. Akshay aspires to visit every major national park in North America.

Akshay holds a Masters in Financial Engineering from Ecole Internationale des sciences du Traitement de l’information, and Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from University of Delhi along with a Post-Graduate diploma in Data Analytics from Montreal College of Information Technology.
