“Equity Methods is by far the best vendor I have worked with for any service. The communication is timely, they are focused on service and delivered all of what they promised with our equity accounting and reporting.”

“Equity Methods is a unicorn in my opinion. They provide a valuable service at a fair price and they have the flexibility to handle our complicated awards and one-off situations. They really give us back valuable time when we need it most.”

“Equity Methods took our unreliable process and made it world-class. They have gone over and above and are experts in their field.”

“The team assigned to our account is very responsive. They listen to the information and reporting needed at each quarter-end to prepare the appropriate tax calculations. They reach out before each quarter begins to confirm timing, tax rates, etc. They have created reports especially for me in order to be able to properly report for tax purposes.”

“They make our life a lot easier by taking data and distilling it into an easy to consume format that we can have confidence in for our financial reporting process.”

“Equity Methods provides excellent customer service and their processes create greater efficiencies in accounting for our equity compensation. The quality of their work is also outstanding.”

—Feedback from Equity Methods clients in this year’s Group Five Stock Plan Financial Reporting Benchmarking Study

Equity Methods leads the financial reporting services industry in client loyalty and overall satisfaction ratings, according to the 2021 Group Five Stock Plan Financial Reporting Benchmarking Study. This year marks the eighth consecutive time Equity Methods has earned the #1 spot among stock-based compensation reporting providers.

The benchmarking study evaluates the quality of financial reporting services that US public companies receive for their equity compensation plans. Each year, Group Five surveys plan sponsors about their vendor experience. Results break down along two dimensions: satisfaction and loyalty.

This year, Equity Methods earned an overall satisfaction rating of 100 as well as the highest satisfaction ratings for account support, platform functionality, and reporting. Equity Methods also earned a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 97, continuing the firm’s track record of earning the top client loyalty rating of all financial reporting service providers included in the study. The second highest NPS for this year is 69, and the average across the industry is 53.

Group Five is the industry leader for corporate client satisfaction research and consulting in the shareholder services, equity plan administration, and 401(k) recordkeeping industries. Now in its 23rd year, the Group Five benchmarking study is designed to measure stock plan sponsors’ satisfaction with their plan administrators, plan brokers, technology platforms, and financial reporting services. The study also identifies service providers’ strengths and areas for improvement from the plan sponsor perspective, and identifies the key drivers of plan sponsor loyalty to service providers. The 2021 study includes responses from 588 US public companies.

“All this time, we’ve been on a mission to reduce the administrative burden on our clients via carefully tailored automation and process optimization,” said Takis Makridis, president and CEO of Equity Methods. “Every day, we’re innovating on our clients’ behalf. I’m thrilled to see these results from Group Five because they show we’re living up to the experience our clients expect and deserve.”
