Ishita Sengupta is a Workforce Analytics expert with more than 20 years of experience advising organizations across theprivate, public, academic, and non-profit sectors. Her research has been featured in numerous trade journals, reflecting herongoing contributions to the field’s analytical rigor and thought leadership.
Prior to joining Equity Methods, Ishita spent her career at Mercer, where she built workforce strategy and analyticssolutions for both private and publicly traded companies, helping them plan for an optimized future workforce through acombination of internal workforce data and external labor market analysis. Her technical expertise spans predictivemodeling across a range of disciplines, including pay equity analysis, turnover analysis, career analytics, and laboroptimization modeling. She works extensively with clients in financial services, sports, retail, and healthcare, bringing deepcross-industry perspective to each engagement.
Earlier in her career, Ishita worked at a research think tank in Washington, D.C., focused on workforce analytics, where shedirected research initiatives comparing labor costs across firms within similar industries. In this role, she regularly liaisedwith advocacy groups, labor organizations, and business associations to ensure the accuracy and credibility of her findingsShe has testified in tribunals and in state senates hearings.
Beyond her professional work, Ishita serves as an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University, where she teacheshuman resource analytics to graduate students. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
